“Payt tel Ruso” is a renovated traditional village house. The house has 5 bedrooms with 1 en-suite bathrooms each.
It is situated in Korucam (Kormacit/Kormakitis) village, translated from the Maronite Aramaic language, the House of Ruso is an old traditional village/agrotourism house, recently renovated and turned into a guesthouse. Most of the inhabitants of this village are Maronites, a religious Christian Catholic minority, that originates from Lebanon, they speak, next to Greek their own very old language, Cypriot Maronite Arabic.
The guesthouse has 6 double rooms simply furnished with en suite shower rooms/WC and air conditioning, including all essential toiletries. A charmingly decorated sitting area with TV as well as a kitchen with all the necessities and a dining room. Free internet is available throughout the house.
It is the ideal choice for those guests who like to explore the north west corner of the island, hikers who start the Beşparmak Trail or like to walk in the area and bikers who like to ride in an unspoilt region with beautiful natural beaches along the coast to swim and also to observe the Caretta Caretta turtles.
Close to the church there are two restaurants, a museum and some coffee shops.
The village has its own Ethnographic Museum and also the small chapel of St. George, newly renovated and next to the village square, which is worth a visit.
There is also a traditional mini farm ‘Rancho Tel Vata’ with a variety of animals including donkeys, horses and a variety of birds, including a windmill and a lot of fruit and olive trees.
