Halil Özdoğan Tahiroğlu is the founder of Sidetour tourism and travel agency in 1987. After studying tourism in Ankara, Turkey, he came back to his homeland and rented an office on a “side” street of the main road crossing Kyrenia. That marked the birth of Sidetour. Today, Halil is the director of the agency, but has delegated most of the work to the next generation, led by the executive manager Houssem Belloum.
