The language spoken by the Maronites of Cyprus is hard to classify. Although officially classified as a dialedt of Arabic (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cypriot_Arabic), it is much more similar to Aramaic, the language spoken by Jesus Christ in Nazareth (widely accepted among scholars). Today, it is mainly used in the lithurgy and between some eldely folks in Kormacit.
